Giulianna Ruiz Discusses Her Path to Trilantic North America and the Importance of ESG and DEI in Private Equity with Falk Marques Group
Giulianna Ruiz, Partner, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Trilantic North America, recently spoke with Falk Marques Group as part of its “Video Voices” series about her introduction to the private equity industry from a career in law, the growing importance of ESG and DEI in the industry and Trilantic North America’s efforts in these areas. Giulianna discussed her role in kickstarting Trilantic North America’s ESG program and the firm’s partnership with the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth to increase gender equity in the industry.
In addition to speaking about Trilantic North America’s initiatives, Giulianna shared details on her own path to the private equity industry and Trilantic North America, as well as the biggest difference between working at a law firm and private equity firm. She also offered advice for individuals who are interested in private equity careers, recommending that they seek out mentors in private equity to share their experiences rather than relying on how the industry is portrayed in entertainment.
