SRAM is a privately owned bicycle component manufacturer based in Chicago, Illinois.
Founded in 1987, SRAM is a producer of a full line of high performance bicycle components for original equipment manufacturers and independent bike dealers that are sold primarily under the SRAM, RockShox, Avid, Truvativ and Zipp brand names. SRAM is an acronym comprising the names of its founders, Scott, Ray and Sam.
