JENNY MING is a seasoned retail and consumer products CEO with extensive board experience. Ms. Ming served as the President and CEO of Charlotte Russe from 2009 to 2019 where she transformed the business model and organization to first-ever fast fashion/specialty hybrid. She navigated the business through changing retail environments, the optimization of store fleet, an ownership transition, debt restructuring and constrained investment in digital transformation. Prior to joining Charlotte Russe, Ms. Ming served as Founder and President of Old Navy from 1993 – 2006 where she conceived and launched innovative retail concepts and the first ever value specialty brand targeting the entire modern family. Ms. Ming has a track record of building global brands across broad demographics and channels, from value/mass to luxury, and from wholesale to direct-to-consumer. She is a frequent speaker on the future of omnichannel retail, the evolving consumer and competitive landscape, and digital and social engagement strategies. Ms. Ming has been recognized by Fortune, Business Week, Wall Street Journal and the New York Times for outstanding leadership in business.
